36 BILLARDS BAR

The 36 billiards opened in 1894 within a multistoreyed building made by
architects Tiphaine & Colmena. This is one of the most emblematic bars
in Buenos Aires and many a tale were woven amongst its tables whilst
drinking coffee, gin, aperitifs and wine.
The billiard tables are situated in the underground floor where theory,
practice and technique billiard courses in all its varieties are given.
The façade of the bar is red granite combined with a lighter colour lit
up by three lanterns. The main hall space with a red granite floor has a
boiserie with inlaid grapes bundles. The second hall is separated from
the café by a wooden screen.
