RANCH DAY IN BUENOS AIRES
San Ceferino Ranch
San Ceferino is located just an hour away from downtown Bs. As. It has
55 suites, green areas, pools, sport areas, rides on carriages and horse-back
riding, recreational activities, spa, restaurant and a museum with old
carriages and a collection of saddles. At this ranch, there is also
breeding of cows, sheep, pork and birds. There is also a milking yard and dairy farm
Program:
Arrival time: 10 a.m.
Free activities: horse-back riding, rides on carriages, pool, soccer
field, volleyball, golf, tennis, bicycles, and game rooms.
Lunch: 1p.m. Delicious menu selection of the chef. Drinks: sodas, still
and sparkling water.
Tours: ‘Carriages Hall’, milking and dairy farm where many delicious products are made.
Don Silvano Ranch
It is located 80 km away from Capital Federal, one-hour trip. The
farmhouse and surrounding buildings at the ranch have a Victorian style
and there are 7 rooms to welcome guests and a hall with room for 70
guests. In the old stable, there are 16 rooms with private bathroom.
There are two restaurants: 'El Galpón' with room for 400 guests and 'El
Granero' with room for 200 guests. The ranch has soccer and volleyball
fields, swimming pools, bowls, outdoor places protected with a roof to
enjoy a day in the country even if it is rainy (for example, a ‘quincho’
-mud hut- and ‘matera’-a place to drink mate-). There is also a general
store, playground for children and a mini-farm.
Program:
11 a.m.: Reception. Empanadas, wine and juice. Guided tour through the
ranch recreating the gaucho life. Milking with participation of the
crowd. Exhibition on how to saddle up horses. Rides by horse and on
carriages.
1 p.m.: Lunch (barbecue, salads, drinks and desserts). Folk dance with
participation of the crowd. Rides on carriages, tractor or horse.
Display of Creole skills: rings race, taming horses and knocking down
drove, catching rhea by using bolas.
4:30p.m. Snack (mate tea with ‘pastelitos’ (sweet pastry) and fried
cakes
5 p.m.: free activities
7 p.m.: end of day
