BUENOS AIRES PROVINCE: JULY
July
– First week – Tornquist – Villa Serrana La Gruta – Provincial Tree
Festival; Neighbour’s tree planting at the entrance to the village;
Checking on trees planted the year before; Friendly Lunch.
July 5 & 6 – Colon – Folklore
Music Tournament from
“Colon
to the country”;
Yearly singing and dancing tournament of folk music
with participation of local and regional musicians; various categories
and diverse styles e.g., Traditional country dances, “Malambo Norteño &
Sureño”, Tango for children and adults, groups, quartets, singing and
reciting for groups and solos.
July
9 – Ayacucho – Argentine Creole Pastry Festival ( “Fiesta de la
Reposteria Criolla”) – Scrumptous Pies & Sweets fair, Workshops,
folklore shows; Seminars on “creole” pastry-making; Pastry masters
competition; Display and sale of pastries; dance and singing shows;
Organized by Artisans Union of Ayacucho.
July 12 & 13 – Campana – “Chocolatino” Campana – Huge Fiesta with display
and sale of artisan-made chocolate and best brands. Activities and shows
for kiddies; Regional Artisans; Food stalls; Artistic shows.
July 25, 26 & 27 – Villa Gesell
– Pilgrimage and Patron St. Apostle Santiago Fiesta – Villa Gesell’s
patron saint; The Apostle’s Pilgrimage from Pinamar to the sanctuary in
Villa Gesell; Liturgical celebrations in honor of the saint; Solemn
Mass; Typical foods stalls.

July
– Winter Holidays – Necochea – Provincial Foreign Communities Meeting –
Thematic stands; Roots & Savors; Roots & Colors; Forms & Textures;
Roots & Sounds; Roots & Words; Roots & Memories.
July – Junin – Junin Jazz
Festival – Well-known bands, local,
regional, and international; Projection of videos of legendary jazz
figures; Food stands; The festival takes place at the Italian Theatre;
Organized by Junin Municipality.
July – Artisan Argentine Stuffed
Pastry Festival -
(Fiesta del
Alfajor artesanal) – Producers of “alfajores” (sweet, crème caramel stuffed pastries)
and
environs; Artisan fair; Musical shows and contests; It takes place at
the San Martin Club.
