PROVINCIAL FESTIVALS IN THE
BUENOS AIRES PROVINCE: OCTOBER
 October
1 to Oct. 8 – Berisso – Immigrant’s Festival – Lightning of the special
lamp at the civic Park. Flower offering at the Immigrant Monument;
Recognition to immigrants with over 50 years in Argentina; Typical
dances with the participation of 14 ethnic groups; Typical children
dances and typical foods; Immigrant’s Regatta from Berisso (Argentina)
to Colonia (Uruguay); Chess tournament; Youth Festival; Swimming
competition; Bicycle race; Immigrant’s marathon; election of the
Immigrant queen; Closing parade with typical clothing and popular
dances.

Escobar - National Flower Festival – Flower exposition; plants, parks
and garden exposition; Commercial and industrial exposition; Floral
arts, landscaping; mini carriages parade and flower carriages parade.
Election and crowning of the National Flower Queen and the National Bud
(“Capullo”) Queen; Special effects, music and colour show; Organized by
the Civil Society National Flower Festival.

First Fortnight – Salto – Stock and Breeding, and “Criollo” Horses from
North of the Buenos Aires Province Festival ( Agropecuaria y del Caballo
“Criollo”) – Stock and Breeding producers exposition; Cattle, industrial
and commercial exposition; Arab, “Criollos” and “Quarter Mile” horses
show; equestrian skills contests; reins contest and cattle contests;
Inaugural lunch Sunday 13.00 Hs; Tickets free of charge for the shows
and the fair. It takes place at the A.P.A.S Fair Grounds.
October 7 – Magdalena – Bartolome Bavio –
Carriages Festival – Gaucho skills contest; artistic shows; At the Pato
Field and Traditionalist Centre, Ruta 54, Km. 13,2, Bavio.
October - First Fortnight – Tornquist –
Villa Ventana – Swallow Festival – Homage to the swallows coming from
San Jose Capistrano, California, USA, and Goya, Corrientes Province,
completing a 12,000 Km. ; Artistic show; Presentation of regional
artists; Recreational activists.
October 6, 7, & 8 – Bragado – Horse
Festival – Rodeos, Groups of Horses and Riders through the streets of
the city; Big, popular bonfires; National artisans fair; Conferences,
expositions and contests; Typical “Criollo” Argentine Lunch; Artistic
Show; Election of the queen.

6, 7, & 8 – Coronel Suarez – Tantanakuy of Crafts and Folklore –
“Friends Meeting”; This is organized together with the Cattle, Industry
and Commerce Exposition; Country Mass; Opening of the Artisan Fair and
crafts exhibition, with the presence of Argentine and Paraguayan
artisans; works done with ropes and natural “fibers”, colonial silver
“mates”, hats, baskets, stained glass, candles, woven crafts, paintings,
wood engraving, knives; Axes contest and artistic shows; conferences; It
takes place at the Rural Society Grounds; Organized by the “Suarenzes”
Artisan Centre
