Berisso, Buenos AiresSeptember,the Whole Month – Berisso - Immigrant’s Festival – Lightning of the special lamp at the civic Park. Flower offering at the Immigrant Monument; Recognition to immigrants with over 50 years in Argentina; Typical dances with the participation of 14 ethnic groups; Typical children dances and typical foods; Immigrant’s Regatta from Berisso (Argentina) to Colonia (Uruguay); Chess tournament; Youth Festival; Swimming competition; Bicycle race; Immigrant’s marathon; election of the Immigrant queen; Closing parade with typical clothing and popular dances.

Mar del Plata, Buenos AiresSeptember 8 to Sept. 12 – General Pueyrredon – Mar del Plata – International Mar del Plata Cup – Competition in various disciplines: volley, futssal (football played indoors), basket-ball and football 11, males and females, schools and federations categories with athletes from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, France and some Central American countries; it takes place in 10 different gyms in the city of Mar del Plata.

Salliqueló, Buenos AiresSeptember, 2nd Week – Magdalena – Bartolome Bavio – Rural Development week – Exposition of the best specimens for meat and milk; New techniques applied to rural work; Milk contest; talks and round tables. Prize-giving to expositors of industrial and commercial shows; Country activities; It takes place at the Lucio V. Mansilla Agro School; Organized by the Rural Development Bartolome Bavio Association.

General Madariaga, Buenos AiresSeptember, 2nd Fortnight – Salliquelo – Typical Young Bulls Festival – This city is known as the capital of the young bull (“novillo”); Cattle, industrial and poultry exposition. Show of country horses; young bulls’ contest; Gaucho skills competition; Open air musical show; The activities take place at the grounds of th Salliquelo Rural Mercedes, Buenos AiresSociety.

September 9 – General Madariaga – Best Specimens Festival – ( “Fiesta del Mejor Reservado” ) – Typical rodeo with young bulls and horses; “Pato” game; Rings races, “sulky” races( carriages drawn by one horse typical of argentine countryside), skills with reins, Gaucho parade; Folkloric show; Prize giving; all activities take place at the grounds of the Traditionalist Gaucho Centre of General Madariaga  and organized by the same centre; should there be rain, it is postponed for the next weekend.

September 9 – Mercedes – Small Farms’ Salami Festival – ( Fiesta del Salame Quintero ) – Countryside outing afternoon with folkloric shows; Artisans produce fair; Contest of best salami and prizes; Lunch with sampling of best products; Guided tours of touristy spots; “pulperia” visit (a typical country/gaucho bar and grocery store); visit to Municipal park; Amusement activities and artisan fair at the sports centre.
