There are a great variety of landscapes in Argentina where to play golf. Many beautiful courses sit in incredible
settings surrounded by groves, lakes, rivers, mountains, etc. First
class services are provided by the hotels in each area, specially
designed for the golfing traveler. There are over four hundred courses
in Argentina, the largest concentration in Latin America. Amongst the main ones in the Capital
Federal, Buenos Aires, there stand out the Olivos Golf Club, Pilar Golf Club, and Buenos Aires Golf Club where Tiger Woods and David Duval won the World Cup in 2000. There are also two great courses in Bariloche,
Rio Negro Province, one in Arelauquen by Lake Gutierrez and the other at
the Llao-Llao Spa Hotel and Resort by Lake Nahuel Huapi.
In the Neuquen Province, we find the Chapelco Golf Club in San Martin de los Andes, the
first links to be designed by Jack Nicklaus and his son Jack Nicklaus
II. Other great links are found in Mar del Plata, the Mar del Plata Golf
Club where the Southern Open Championship is held, the Salta Polo Club
in Salta Province and the Cordoba Golf Club in Villa Allende, Cordoba
Province where Argentine stars “Gato” Romero and Angel “Pato” Cabrera
took their first steps in golf.
