TOURS: LA BOCA - Iglesia San Juan Evangelista. Olavarría486 The church became operational in 1859 and hosted the first Magistrate's Court. This fact marked the jurisdictional boundaries of the neighbourhood. The current temple was inaugurated in 1886. - Boca Juniors Club Stadium Brandsen 805 Its official name is Estadio Alberto Jose Armando, in honor to who was president of the Club in 1954/55 and from 1959 to 1980. It is one of the two most popular clubs in the country (the other is River Plate). Popularly known as "La Bombonera" because of how the seats are distributed on the grandstands: they overlap one another in order to achieve the greatest possible audience in a confined space. It has capacity for 60,000 spectators and was inaugurated in 1940. In the lobby, you can see a mural painted by Quinquela Martin representing the time when the founders chose the colours of the club. The scene shows a Swedish flag vessel (a yellow cross on a blue background) entering the port of Buenos Aires, a fact that inspired the founders to choose blue and gold as the distinctive colours of the club.
- Wax Museum. Del Valle Iberlucea 1261. The museum has 5 rooms where wax figures are displayed in natural size, made by the artist Domingo Telechea and set in scenes ranging from colonial times until the present time. - Bar La Perla. Magallanes y Del Valle Iberlucea. This is one of the most traditional bars in the area. It is in an area of art galleries, antique dealers and exhibition halls.
