CLASSIC TOUR OF WINERIES AND VINEYARDS
The program includes:
*Accommodation at the hotel chosen (3 nights) with breakfast (buffet)
*Transfers in and out
*Regular group tours: city and surrounding areas, wineries and vineyards,
and wineries and vineyards with lunch included.
*Lunch included in the wine tour.
Note: this program has been organized to be done in regular group tours
but it can also be done as private tours.
On this tour you will be able to see the center-east oasis, which is
located in the north of the province, watered by the Mendoza River, at
the foothills (between 1850 and 3000 feet) and includes mainly the
vineyards at the districts of Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu. Due to the soil
characteristics and the weather, it is the most important area where
fine wines are produced, red as well as white.
The tasting included on this tour is standard category, the wineries to
visit are not previously defined and the choosing of these is random.
DAY 1
To begin with this program, we will pick you up at the airport or bus
station of Mendoza and transfer you to the hotel chosen.
3p.m. City tour. You will visit the Foundational Area Museum, the
‘Alameda’, General San Martin Park, Cerro de la Gloria (Glory’s Hill),
among other characteristic places of the province. The tour guide will
not only point out the characteristic attractions of the city but will
also comment on the history of the province from its foundation till
today.
DAY 2
After breakfast, we will enjoy the visit to the wineries.
2p.m. Wineries and vineyards tour: it allows us to see the effort man
has made to transform the dessert into an oasis. The irrigation systems
inherited by the Huarpes (native indigenous group) now computerized
irrigation by dripping, allows us to get to know Mendoza as one of the
main wine producers in the world. The tour includes the visit to two
wineries, where experts will explain the elaboration process and will
invite us to taste some wines, finishing with a visit to an olive oil
factory.
For dinner we suggest different programs: having dinner at the hotel,
tasting some glasses of wine with finger food at a wine bar or to share
a dinner at a restaurant with international food.
DAY 3
9 A.M. In the morning, we will leave the hotel and head towards the wine
region where we will visit some vineyards and get to know the production
processes done there. After visiting two wineries where experts will
invite us to taste some wines, we will have lunch at Zuccardi winery or
Cavas de Cano restaurant.
Note: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the tour starts at
12p.m. and lunch is at Lagarde winery and then continues with the visits
to two more wineries.Once the tour is over, we go back to the hotel.
DAY 04
After having breakfast at the hotel, as a goodbye, we take you to the
airport or bus station
