MENDOZA AND SAN RAFAEL
The program includes:

San Rafael
*Accommodation 2 nights in San Rafael, hotel to be chosen, breakfast
included.
*Transfer in and out.
*Group tour: Atuel Canyon. Lunch is not included.
Day 1 Mendoza:
To begin with this program, we will pick you up at the airport or bus
station of Mendoza and from there we will take you to the hotel chosen.
In the afternoon, sightseeing of the city of Mendoza and surrounding
areas. On this tour, tourists will visit the Foundational Area Museum,
the ‘Alameda’, General San Martin Park, Cerro de la Gloria (Glory’s
Hill), among other characteristic places of the province where the tour
guide will not only point them out but will also comment on the history
of the province from its foundation till today.
Note: this tour can be done privately or in a group. In case of doing it
as a group tour, it starts at 3p.m. so whether you are able to do it or
not, depends on the time you arrive to Mendoza.
Day 2 Mendoza- High Mountain:
7:30 a.m. After breakfast we head towards the mountains. During the high
mountain tour, we will get to know Potrerillos Village, Uspallata Valley,
where we will stop to appreciate the valley between the Pre-mountain
range of Mendoza and the two main mountain ranges that form the Andes.
Then, we will continue our trip towards Puente del Inca (Inca’s bridge’),
Aconcagua Provincial Park, Las Cuevas village, on the border with Chile,
and if the weather is good, the monument Cristo Redentor (Redeemer
Christ). Once we go back to the hotel, dinner is on your own.
Note: this tour can be done in a group or privately.
Day 3 Mendoza- San Rafael:
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the bus station to start the trip
to San Rafael.
Continuing with our program, once in the city of San Rafael, we will
take you from the bus station of San Rafael, or airport, to the hotel
chosen.
Day 4 San Rafael- Atuel Canyon:
Breakfast in the hotel. Then, we start the Atuel Canyon tour. Passing
the waters of the Valle Grande Dam, we can get inside the Atuel Canyon,
live presence of the origins of the world, which the wind and rain
discovered and formed the most varied natural sculptures, like Wax
Museum, Rivadavia’s armchair, the Lizard, the Old People, the Monsters,
the Haunted City, the Begger, the Hanging Gardens, etc., just to mention
a few.
The river, in its vertiginous fall has a huge power which gives man the
possibility of generating electricity. Two artificial lakes contribute
to highlight the beauty inside the canyon: Aisol and Tierras Blancas.
Then, we arrive to the hydroelectric complex Los Nihuiles that has three
hydroelectric plants which generate a power of 260,000 kw/h.
Before it gets dark, once the tour is over, we go back to the hotel.
Day 5 San Rafael:
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the bus station or airport. End
of our services.
