MONUMENT TO THE SPANISH

Sarmiento Av. And Del Libertador Av. - Palermo

The actual name of the monument is in fact the Constitution (La Carta Magna) and the four Regions of Argentina (Las cuatro regiones de Argentina).

The work is 25 mts. high and was made using Carrara marble and bronze by Spanish sculptor Agustín Querol. It was a gift from the Spanish community in Argentina for the May Revolution Centenary. It was unveiled May 25 1927 by the Count of Amalfi representing King Alphonse XIII, with the presence of President Marcelo T. de Alvear.
