PALERMO

It is located at the heart of the Tres de Febrero Park. It was created in 1914 by the famous landscape architect Charles Thays, there and 1,189 different rose species were planted which gave origin to 14,600 rosebushes. It occupies 34,000 square metres. Along the footpath, there is the Garden of the Poets, which holds busts of lyrical writers. There is also the Patio Andaluz, donated by the City Hall of Seville in 1929 which forms a circus with a ceramic fountain in its centre.
Palermo Chico:
- Canal 7
These are the headquarters and studios of the only state television channel in the country. The building was inaugurated in 1978, shortly before the Football World Cup played in Argentina.
- Barrio- Parque
The design was made in 1912 by architect Charles Thays, who designed it as an urban space of curves and diagonals, with a lot of native vegetation. Classical style buildings were erected and it is currently a distinguished residential area chosen by several countries to locate their embassies.
- Instituto Sanmartiniano
It was founded in 1933; the building is a replica of the house of Grand Bourg, France, which was San Martin’s residence between 1834 and 1848. Near the entrance, there stands the only monument that represents General San Martin as an elderly civilian.
