SAN CLEMENTE DEL TUYÚ
“Punta
Rasa” Natural Reserve
This
Nature Reserve has wild beaches where visitors can enjoy activities such
as fishing, trekking, cycling, and the pure power of sunsets on the bay.
This
place is known as the “Paradise of the black corvina fish” and is
located at the Southern most extreme of the Samborombon Bay and the
Northern extreme of Cape San Antonio where the river enters the sea and
the waters mingle. Thousands of migratory birds come here from the
Northern Hemisphere after travelling over 10,000kms.
In
order to rest, feed and continue with their extraordinary journey. The
environment is formed by sandy beaches, coastal dunes, and lower
inter-dunes lands where we find small salty lagoons which connect with
the sea through canals formed by the tides.
Location: Road leading to Marine Thermal waters, second turning on the
right.
“Tapera de Lopez”
Covering 7 hectares on the shores of the San Clemente River, in front of
the Samborombon Bay, this is an ideal place for nature outings and do
windsurf, canoeing, boating, nautical activities, water skiing, etc.;
There are changing rooms, a grove with picnic and barbecue areas,
restaurants, children amusement area and facilities for boats. The San
Clemente Regatta takes place here every year. Location: Road leading to
Marine Thermal waters, first turning on the left.
Biological Station
Located within the grounds of the San Antonio light house, it is managed
by the Fundacion Vida Silvestre Argentina. The main mission of the
Foundation is to study is to study species through counting and giving
them tracing rings and keeping them away from the influence Man.
The
presence of groups of up to 1,500 birds makes the view an unforgettable
experience.
Location: Within the grounds of the “Marine Thermal Waters”.
Fishing Pier
It
was built in reinforced concrete, has 129 metres of length and 4,5
metres of width and a height of between 3 to 4 metres. There are public
lavatories, a restaurant and a service of fishing rods to hire and other
elements necessary for fishing and perfect illumination for night
fishing. The fishing here is very good and varied.
