San
Isidro “R” Station
This
station is one of the largest of the Tren Turistico de la Costa Railway
Line running from Maipu Station in Olivos to Delta Station in Tigre. It
counts with many shops, an entertainment centre, cinemas and mechanical
games for young people and children as well as a varied number of
restaurants. There are musical performances on at the main grounds
opposite the fountain.

Plaza
Mitre
This
is the main plaza in the district of San Isidro and has a great number
of beautiful “tipas” hardwoods planted in 1905. The plaza is built in
two levels. The lower one has a flower clock set in motion 31 December
1913; the upper one has a monument to General Bartolome Mitre and a
milestone honouring the Argentine essence. All Saturdays, Sundays, and
Holidays there is an artisan fair.

Rugby
Museum
This
museum has a collection of highly valuable historic and sentimental
objects related to rugby at national and international level donated by
individuals and institutions for their exhibition.
Opening Hours: Tuesdays to Sundays from 10.00hs to 18.00hs;

Anchorena House
This
used to be the summer villa of the Anchorena family built in a Spanish
Renaissance style and dating from 1840. It was modified in 1920 and from
1957 onwards is the home of the Colegio San Juan El Precursor School.

San
Isidro Cathedral
It
occupies the grounds where the original temple had been built in the 17th
Century by Domingo de Acassuso. It was consecrated as a cathedral in
1957 when the San Isidro Bishopric was created and declared to be a
historical place 10 October 1963. Of Gothic style and with three aisles
and Great French glass works, it has capacity for 3,000 people. The main
tower is 70 metres of height and has four clocks one on each side and,
an organ made in France in 1906.
