THE DANCE
The choreography is designed starting from the couple’s embrace which is
highly sensual and complex. But, the complexity of the steps does not
have to do with the expression or to what is to be expressed during the
dance. It is all about expressing a sensual feeling, not sexual, where
the steps or figures drawn by the dancers are not
the most important aspect. A perfect technique and/or synchronization
are of no use at all if the facial expression of dancers is unfeeling.
Everything in Tango dancing must be united: looks, arms, hands, every
movement accompanying the cadence of Tango and to what dancers are
feeling which is a three minute romance between two people who might
just have met and probably have no sentimental relation between them in
real life. Tango goes beyond and reaches the heart of those looking on,
thanks to the feelings put into the dancing and the quality of the
choreography.

Every stanza, every transition, every Tango has different
moments and it cannot be danced following an identical pattern. There
are sad cadenzas, grand ones, in-crescendo music or in-diminuendo. They
all express feelings and these feelings are what the dancers put into
their bodies and feet.
