Tourism In Tigre And The Delta
Paseo Victoria
This
promenade on the shores of the Lujan River, decorated with lanterns and
lampposts, many trees, boulevards and rest areas. There is a great view
of the Lujan River and many picturesque bars and restaurants. The
promenade stretches from Lavalle Street to the river.
Reconquista – Boater’s Monument
This monument
located on the Lujan River, unveiled at the
beginning of the 1990s shows the central figure
of
a boater with oars surrounded by poles with the flags of the Tigre clubs
and shows the importance that this sport has in Tigre where towards the
end of the 19th Century the first International Regatta was
staged on the waters of the Lujan River.This
regatta stimulated the establishment of many clubs which had, until then
their headquarters at the Riachuelo. Tigre is today the cradle of the
sport in Argentina with over fifteen such clubs.

Naval Centre and Museum
This Centre was founded on 20 May 1892 and
exhibits the history, tradition, naval and maritime culture of the
Nation. The halls house arms and navigational instruments and scale
ships which belonged to the Navy. On the neighbouring plot there are
artillery pieces and planes belonging to Naval Aviation squadrons. The
building had originally been built as Navy repair shops and workshops.

08.30hs to 17.30h; Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays, from 10.30hs to
18.30hs.
Tigre Art Museum
The art museum was the idea and project of Mayor Ricardo Ubieto. It is located on the spot where the Tigre Club was originally founded and is a classic Belle Epoque building. The collection which is
patrimony of the Tigre Municipality shows figurative art pieces from the
end of the 19th Century and from the 20th Century.
It has big porticos, harmonious arcades and columns going down to the
river.
It
is thematically organized in seven halls take visitors through the most
important aspects of the national history of art, the landscape,
architecture, the human figure, still natures, the port, the Genesis of
Argentine plastic arts and Tigre as an esthetical referent. Location:

Opeing Hours: Wednesdays to Fridays from 09.00hs
to 19.00hs; Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays from 12.00hs to 19.00hs.
