The Buenos Aires Design Shopping is the first and only theme mall of Buenos Aires dedicated to the design, construction, equipment and decoration. It is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta, and has three different levels, where brands such as Simmons, Francisco Benito, Boussard, Schatz and many more are gathered.
The ground floor is intended for various business alternatives, while the first floor has a terrace with outdoor environment, and food and design proposals. Another level has a set of comfortable garage, totaling 174, are intended for use by customers and visitors. In addition, the property is located in the Recoleta Cultural Center, where presentations of books, plays and dance performances, concerts, exhibitions of fine arts and exhibitions.
The mall also has some outbuildings: the Auditorium of Buenos Aires, which conducts social, cultural and artistic events, a bar and restaurant to enjoy a good coffee or lunch and an apartment intended for events and conferences. On the other hand the Hard Rock Cafe, a branch of the famous international chain is established as the first in Latin America.
Buenos Aires Design works since 1993 and was designed by architects Clorindo Testa, Juan Genoud, Giselle Graci and Eduardo Bompadre as part of the “Terrazas del Pilar” complex. It is located at the convergence of Avenida del Libertador, Pueyrredón Avenue, the Recoleta Cemetery and Plaza Butler. Hours of operation include: Monday to Saturday 10 to 21 pm, and Sundays and holidays from 12 to 21 hours.
