The National Meeting of Payadores Santosvegano is held every year in the town of San Clemente del Tuyú during the second half of February. It is supported and sponsored by the Municipality of La Costa and the Permanent Commission of Celebration, and is organized by the Social Club of Fisheries Nautical and Fomento de San Clemente. This traditional event that celebrates the Creole culture and customs and has more than 33 edits.
Usually the event is spread over two nights, and the stage (located in Pereira Plaza de San Clemente del Tuyú) pass many artists who are devoted to payadas and folk music shows. Improvised rhymes and singing are the protagonists of this event held every year, and has the presence of hundreds of people who will enjoy the music and stories.
The artists come from all parts of the province of Buenos Aires and around the country. In addition to performances on the main stage, is installed on the farm is a food court packed with stands with a wide gastronomic offer, as well as craft stalls with local and regional products. Admission to the event is completely free.
The closure of the meeting is usually recognized by very repentista folklore and art personalities, and has the presence of ballets or groups of local and regional folk dances.
