The Angus Festival, also called Angus Spring National Exhibition is an event that takes place in mid-September in the city of Azul, Buenos Aires. The exhibition is accompanied by the National Exhibition Calf, a little new, but is also held annually. The event has more than 25 edits and brings together many livestock producers presenting their best specimens of this breed of cattle.
The festival is organized by the Argentina Association of Angus and the Rural Society of the town of Blue, and consists of more than 120 stands mounted on a spacious estate. After the inauguration of the exhibition participants are presented, and after the event are devoted champions. Copies were also auctioned and musicals are performed.
Among other categories, the main ones are: Grand Champion Male and Best Exhibition Section Individual Pedigree Toro. Competition also opens in the categories Veal Grand Champion of the Exhibition, and for females can be obtained the award for Best Female and Individual Champion Cow with Calf.
The event usually takes place on the campus of the Rural Society of Azul, where producers from across the province gather to showcase their best cattle copies, and participate in the auctions, reaching very substantial sums of money.
