The National Fine Birds Festival is performed in mid-September in the city of Rauch, province of Buenos Aires. This is a very important holiday for the town, as is the National Capital Race Ave. The event takes place since 1975, with the aim to recognize the work of local poultry farmers in the selection and improvement of traditional breeds of birds.
It was recognized Provincial Interest by the Department of Tourism of the Province and of National Interest by the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Nation. Awards are made to poultry farmers for their work and dedication, plus giveaways and raffles among attendees, and end of the event the election and coronation of the National Queen Ave Race takes place.
On a more technical level talks and lectures on industrial and commercial, in addition to agricultural production and exhibitions are held. During the day part of the party you can visit the exhibitions of poultry, and overnight the hippest part takes place: artistic performances and the presentation of the National Queen applicants and the Queens visitors.
On the last day, which falls on a Sunday, popular grills are made with traditional roasted chicken in different parts of the city, to enjoy a lunch according to the celebration. During the afternoon the official parade takes place through the streets of Rauch. At night, in the final show, is elected new sovereign Flame Votive lights.
