The Mordern Art Museum of Buenos Aires, or Museum of the City Goverment commonly known, has two locations, the main one is in San Telmo and the other one is inside the Municipal Theatre General San Martín.
It functions in the recycled building that retains its original architecture from 1918, which formerly belonged to the cigarette factory “43”.
It includes main Argentine contemporary production of plastic arts belonging to periods between 1940 and 1960. It includes works by concrete artists, informalists, neo-figurativists and Ignacio Pirovano Collection, as well as works by many important international artists.
