This museum was created with the initiative of Professor Oscar Carlos Pecora to be dedicated exclusively to engravings. His collection was donated integrally to the State in 1983 and it became the Engraving Museum functioning at different addresses till it came to this end-of-century house in San Telmo in 1993.
It counts with three exhibition halls, a library and a reading room, a museum shop and other dependencies as well as a lovely patio destined for various cultural activities.
The museum is concerned with spreading the graphic arts, offering conferences to the community, and giving courses, seminars and workshops as well as guided tours on engraving techniques and all activities related to this art.
It exhibits works done by important local and foreign artists from the 20th century; with about 11,000 pieces including original engravings, original books and tools of the trade.
Opening Hours: Sundays to Fridays from from 14.00hs to 18.00hs.
