The Provincial Tango and Folklore Festival takes place in the city of Chacabuco, province of Buenos Aires, during the month of January. It is organized by the board of Musicians States with the support of the municipality and the Ministry of Culture, and already has 22 editions concretized, which makes it a festival with much experience in the Buenos Aires provincial parties.
The grid includes opening activities with the enthronement of the Virgin of Lujan, in addition to the official speeches by municipal authorities. Ballets and dance groups present to open the event, and then place the musical shows with bands across the region. Open all days during the celebrations ballets or dance groups.
Every day there are shows, plus music and specifically intertwined folklore and tango dance as well as by professionals from both disciplines. The festival usually runs for four days, and the main stage is installed in front of City Hall in the town. The conferences have an overwhelming support, and the festival is already well positioned in the region and made many leading editions.
The Virgin of Lujan is the patron of the festival, which is why it starts with his enthronement. In the beginning, the institution began summoning a monolith in the local cemetery, standing there platelets to translate the names of the singers, musicians and poets of Chacabuco. Later came the idea of the festival, which was conceived as a popular event free admission.
