The city is located by the Parana River where the high cliffs form balconies from where to appreciate the immensity of the waters and the weeping willows groves of the islands inviting to enjoy the quietness. The beauty of the landscape extends to the countryside and the lemon, orange, peach and plumb orchards, rose bushes and the multicolor plants of the nurseries.
San Pedro is where the Vuelta de Obligado Battle took place in 1845 at the site of the same name. The famous Mallorca Ensaimada Pastry arrived here with the immigrants and is very popular here. San Pedro is on National Route 9, Km.154 and, 164 kilometres from The Federal Capital.
