This rocky island has some historical importance but the main attractive is the botanical diversity as it concentrates a great deal of species in 2 square kilometres from remote parts of the Parana and Uruguay Rivers. It is also refuge for deer, turtles, amphibians and 200 species of birds. The village has about 200 people taking care of the island which was declared a Natural Reserve of the Buenos Aires Province. Walk in the jungle, or discover monuments, the theatre, the cemetery, the old brothel and the bakery where the Presidential Christmas Bread is made.
