Major Apolinario Cisneros contracted Italian architect Pedro Petrocchi for the construction of the Municipality, the Church and the number 1 School with the idea of respecting the traditional conception that the buildings should be on the same block and opposite the main plaza.
The municipality, which was similar to a “Cabildo” still looks like the original construction, has a beautiful Red Hall for deliberation of the council with artistic and historical value, with the painting and deco made by a French artist who reproduced aspects of Versailles halls. There is also the Blue Hall with furniture, carpets and six crystal chandeliers brought from Paris.
