Visit La Flor Azteca is feel like moving to Mexico in the hands of a group of artists who dared to give life to this particular gastronomic venture. The restaurant is in a converted house, rustic atmosphere with brick walls, wood, cushioned benches, paper garlands, lots of color and even a tank. The decoration and enviroment of the place, typically next to the authentic Mexican Aztec cuisine, invite you to enjoy a magically Mexican night.
The menu tempts taste the best dishes of this region. A Mexican table (taco, fajita, burrito, refried beans, guacamole and rice), eggs motuleños (with tortilla and beans) or quesadillas are good alternatives to start. Along with a fresh beer (because there are a few wines) will continue the main with Cochinita pibil (pork shreds with achiote sauce), the mole poblano (chicken with cacao) or the superb pork with ancho chile sauce and captive orange sweet potato croquettes, spicy and addictive. There are those famous tacos, fajitas, wires, chimichangas, enchiladas and chilaquiles. If it is cold, the Tinga Poblano (stew meat, potatoes, chipotle and chorizo), spicy and invigorating is a very appropriate choice.
For dessert you can choose between flan, rice pudding or delicacies such as corn cake, mousse or tequila three milk´s cake. By the end, coffee pot (with cinnamon and sugar) or picketing (with tequila or other liquor). The staff is very friendly, although the dishes can take a while; prices are reasonable and Fridays and Saturdays there is a show of mariachis entertaining. Ideal to go in groups, enjoy, celebrate and have fun.
