The Fireworks Show takes place every year in Miramar, Buenos Aires, when they give the twelve strokes indicating the 1st of January and the beginning of a new year in the Gregorian calendar. It is an event organized by the Municipality of General Alvarado through the Ministry of Tourism and Culture. The time in which the show starts usually around the 1am.
Fireworks usually last about fifteen minutes, and is an event specially designed to be enjoyed by the whole family after the toast. Every year over 15,000 people attended and the venue is the public beach El Arroyito in the town of Miramar, though sometimes the place can vary depending on the organization of the event.
For security reasons, attendees access the area on foot, in order to ensure that the public can deconcentrated are asked quietly. If weather conditions do not accompany the event is abandoned because it can not be armed and trigger the show if there is rain. Fireworks are a classic condiment of coastal cities during New Year, but in Miramar surprised the amount of people attending the event to see up close.
