At the corner of street Carlos Gardel, named in his honor and Anchorena street, stands a building constructed in 1893. There worked more than 100 years ago “Chanta Cuatro”, a family hotel and restaurant of time that sheltered within its walls the colorful characters of the market: working men, immigrants and scoundrels; and where, the same Carlos Gardel used to meet his friends and cronies to dinner and sing during long nights. Today, in addition to building on that same corner is located the statue that immortalizes him.
Over 100 years later, Esquina Carlos Gardel is a dazzling restaurant with beatiful decoration and refined furnishings, high ceilings and generous spaces where elegance and splendor inhabit every corner. Here you can enjoy a tango show accompanied by the most exquisite dishes of international cuisine with Argentine specialties and a select wine list.
As if by magic, history comes alive with a spectacular tango show with an unusual technical deployment and international artistic proposal, which will transport you to a mystic tango atmosphere. The lights go out, the orchestra tunes and elusive legs begin to dance. The sensuality presents in each choreography is a living tribute to tango. Throughout the show, the spectators walk the history of tango, from its beginnings to the present. It counts with 12 dancers on stage, 2 singers and an orchestra that are present every night to dazzle the audience with classic performances and modern interpretations of acrobatic tango. An unbeatable alternative theme restaurant!
