The Arts and Entertainment Center “Piazzolla Tango”, was born as a response to chase the urban musical soul from its beginnings to the renewal saga of Astor Piazzolla.

Located in the heart of Buenos Aires, in the traditional Florida Street and within the historic Guemes Gallery, this space has 3,000 m2 destined to art and tango. The building that houses it, marked an important step in the growth of Buenos Aires, since long was the highest point in the country built by man. The same has a lighthouse on its dome of 87 m high, serving as reference to embarkations of the Río de la Plata. Its architect, the Italian Francisco Gianotti, called the best builders and craftsmen of the time and the most luxurious materials were used to build this palace that still amazes and houses one of the most beautiful scenarios of tango in the city.

This cultural center is composed of a French-style theater, a luxurious lounge and perfect acoustics that will make your visit an unforgettable evening. The same was carefully restored in 1915, with the idea of keeping the original charm, architecture, style and period details: gilded boxes, sculptures, red velvet everywhere and warm lighting, incorporating comfort in accesses, stage and technical equipment. Sophistication and elegance are combined to create a perfect setting to enjoy the porteño spirit of those years and comfort of these times. Its areas have been considered Cultural Heritage of the city.

Here it is possible to enjoy a dinner by candlelight, international cuisine, a variety of appetizers, main dishes and desserts accompanied by fine wines and then witness the nightly show.

From the antique balconies, it is possible to see a show that brings together great figures of tango. A majestic display with live music provided by the sextet Piazzolla Tango accompanied by an excellent ballet corps and the best silvery voices: Marili Machado and Ricardo Marin, who offer every night a unique show: “The Four Seasons of Tango” based on the traditional songs of Astor Piazzolla and great Argentine composers. A sample of a tight and powerful Tango to the floor (the most traditional Tango) with a knack Tango of scene and also includes a small excursion to the folkloric dances of the country inland to season even more this fantastic show.

Here the visitors can feel the spirit of the city with its harmony, that include not only music, but also dance, visual arts, flavors, documentary evidence, friendship and good times…
